Hi, I’m Lindsey and I’m really glad you’re here!

This space was born after years of voice memos to friends, late-night Google searches, ingredient label deep dives, and “wait… is this normal?” texts. At some point I realized I had a lot swirling in my head about food, parenting, school, neurodiversity, home life and I needed somewhere to put it. So here we are.

I’m not an expert. I’m a mom of three very different kids (14, 12, and 9) who has learned (sometimes the hard way) that what works beautifully for one child might completely flop for the next. We’ve navigated ADHD, dyscalculia (a word I couldn’t even say or spell two years ago), school meetings, mindset shifts, and redefining what success actually looks like in our house.

Somewhere along the way I also became the mom who reads ingredient labels, cares about nervous system regulation, and tries to make healthier swaps, but still loves a "clean out the fridge" dinner night when the day gets away from us. This isn’t about perfection. It’s about paying attention. Adjusting when needed. Letting go when necessary.

I share what’s worked for us with practical recipes, realistic clean-living swaps, advocacy tips, education reflections, and the tools that have helped our wonderfully wired kids thrive. Not because I have all the answers, but because maybe something here will make another parent feel less alone. Or save you from your own 10PM google rabbit hole.

I’m also a working mom juggling all the things, including a forever-puppy labradoodle, a formerly-feral porch cat, one betta fish, and a baby eyelash crested gecko, which means yes, we now purchase live crickets in bulk (it's still weird to even type that!). A little reminder to me growth comes to all of us in many forms!

Going Granola Without Going Nuts is my attempt at the middle ground: Caring without obsessing. Learning without spiraling. Supporting our kids exactly as they are, while still supporting ourselves.

This space is part resource, part reflection, part creative outlet for me. If our experiences help your family in any small way, that’s the win.
