Where Granola Meets Real Life
Welcome to my little corner of the internet. I’ve thought about this space for a LONG time, and I’m finally getting it out of my head and onto the page — sharing why we care about ingredients, nervous systems, and school meetings… while still keeping a sense of humor about all of it.
I’m not a doctor, educator, or mental health professional. I’m just a mom in the thick of it — packing lunches, reading IEP reports, googling magnesium at 10PM, and trying to get dinner on the table without making three separate meals.
Here I share what’s worked for our family: healthier swaps, easy weeknight recipes, navigating neurodiversity, advocating for our kids’ education, and building a home that feels calm(ish), connected, and real.
I believe you can care deeply about what’s in your pantry and how your child learns without spiraling into perfectionism. You can read the research, ask the questions, show up to the meetings — and still laugh when dinner is scrambled eggs and toast. Again. (Because who doesn’t love breakfast for dinner?)
“Going Granola Without Going Nuts” is about that middle ground:
Whole-ish foods. Thoughtful parenting. Real-life rhythms.
Progress over pressure. Curiosity over fear.
And lots of grace — for ourselves and our kids along the way.
If you’re raising healthy, confident, wonderfully wired humans without wanting to lose yourself in the process… you’re in the right place.
